The New York State Regents Advisory Council for Libraries has released the second draft of Creating the Future, a 2020 Vision and Plan for Library Services in New York State. Comments will inform the development of the final plan which the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries will present to the New York State Board of Regents in April 2012.

A look at January 17, 1992 - "Martin Luther King Jr. had his dream, and we should each have our own dream, a local human-rights activist said Thursday. Jacqueline Archer told guests at a luncheon on Plattsburgh Air Force Base held to honor Dr. King: 'Each of us is capable of producing more than we do. Each of us is capable of producing a seed of growth within our thoughts. And if we think positive, once the seed is there, it will grow.'"
